Tools for Improving Irrigation System Efficiency - CEU Class

What do you do if your irrigation audit results show poor distribution uniformity on your site? How can you improve your irrigation system efficiency and reduce landscape water demand?

In this virtual QWEL Continuing Education Unit course, instructors will review the basic concepts of distribution uniformity and irrigation auditing covered in the QWEL course and then describe the tools and strategies available to landscape and irrigation professionals to improve system efficiency and reduce landscape water use. Some strategies that will be discussed include: proper system design and installation, system programming, smart controllers, sensors and other monitoring equipment. Aspen Utilities staff will also be on-hand to discuss how this pertains to the City's Water Efficient Landscape Standards.

In this highly interactive course, students should come prepared with questions and to share their experiences and lessons learned from working to improve irrigation system efficiency.

The course is intended for Aspen's QWEL course graduates and other landscape professionals in the Roaring Fork Valley.

It will include 2hrs of instruction with a 30-minute lunch break at 12pm.
