Graywater Installer Class

This is a comprehensive 3.5 day class on designing, installing, and maintaining graywater systems that will protect public health and the environment, and comply with Denver graywater regulations. 

In this class you will learn the basics of installing a graywater system in Colorado, specifically in the Denver area.  This class is intended for those that want to learn how to install the various types of graywater systems. 

Information covered in this class includes:

  • Where are water comes from
  • Sustainable landscaping
  • Types of graywater systems
  • Collection plumbing
  • Field sizing
  • Distribution to landscape
  • Codes and Permitting
  • Future of graywater

This class is both lecture and hands on.  It is FREE, sponsored by Denver Public Health and Environment.

There will be a site visit to an operational commercial system.

Passing the final exam and a graywater installation is required to earn this QWEL certification.  The final is scheduled for the last day of the class.
