The California Community Colleges and its Doing What Matters  framework invests funding and resources in industry sectors that are key to California’s economic growth. Through sector strategies and services, the Agriculture, Water, and Environmental Technology initiative works to ensure the economic viability of California’s agriculture and natural resources industry, while maintaining our environmental integrity.

The Agriculture, Water, Environmental Technology Sector serves as the Professional Certifying Organization for community college horticulture programs in California. Participating colleges include:
